Pilates is a full body strength exercise that also improves flexibility and enhances the overall fitness of the body. Pilates promotes awareness of breathing, alignment, and body awareness with one of its main principles being that of the mind – body connection. It involves controlled movements and specific exercise that target the core muscles and correct posture. It is mostly performed on the mat and can include various equipment to challenge the body.

Sometimes it’s difficult to know where to start and sometimes you just need someone to help with your technique and keep you motivated.

I can help with all of that. Please see below the classes I offer.

Mat Based Group Classes:
This 1-hour mat-based class is performed in a small group in a local community hall. This class focuses on building fitness, strength and flexibility and transitions you from basic Pilates exercises into more intermediate and advanced Pilates exercises. This class is suitable for all levels of fitness and is perfect if you are looking for that community focused practice as you can join a WhatsApp Group if you choose to which shares information and exercise you can implement at home.

1-2-1 Classes:
An individual 1-hour mat-based class which includes a posture assessment which allows us to work on your own individual fitness goals and health requirements. I then develop a program of classes aimed at your own individual needs. This is perfect if you are new to Pilates or have specific health concerns. This can be done on your own if you choose to. Please enquire about online 1-2-1 classes.
